Warwick crime wrap: Second school broken in to within a week, drugs, traffic matters, SDRC workers threatened
A second school building being broken into within a week was just one matter keeping Warwick police busy this week, with traffic matters and drugs also being found around the Rose City. MORE HERE.

Police have been on their toes following a big week of a variety of incidents across the region, from drug matters, traffic matters and break ins. Here’s what you missed in the past seven days.
Traffic matters
• On October 2 about 11am, a two vehicle traffic crash occurred at Warwick, where two Holden station wagons travelling in the same direction collided causing moderate damage.
There were no injuries and police are making further inquiries.
• Police received information that shortly before midnight on the same night, an allegedly unlicensed teenager was driving in the Mt Tabor area, east of Warwick.
Police spoke to witnesses who identified a Subaru sedan allegedly speeding and recklessly driving in the area.
Police located the vehicle a short time later with the unlicensed driver and an older man in the passenger seat.
Further investigations are being made in relation to this matter.
• At about 3.30pm on Tuesday, a 25-year-old Warwick woman was issued a Notice to Appear after she was allegedly located driving on Albion St while being disqualified from driving.
She was also given a notice immobilising her vehicle for seven days.
• A 29-year-old Murrays Bridge man was located by police at about 5pm on Saturday, along Warwick-Killarney Road at Canningvale.
Tests showed he allegedly had a relevant drug in his system.
He will appear in Warwick Magistrates Court later this month.
It is believed the rider lost control at a turn and fell onto the pavement. Forensic Crash Investigators attended the scene.
Latest medical reports are that the driver has not sustained any major injury and will be released from hospital shortly.
• On Sunday afternoon, a two-vehicle crash occurred on Dragon St.
The two vehicles were travelling south on Dragon St when the second vehicle, a Mazda sedan, allegedly crashed into the rear of a Hyundai sedan which had indicated and stopped to turn.
Police are currently investigating this matter further.
Drug matters
• On Wednesday, a 25-year-old Ipswich woman appeared in Warwick Magistrates Court after she had been arrested and taken to the watch-house at Warwick on unrelated matters shere she was allegedly found with a quantity of cannabis in her pants.
She was charged with possession of a dangerous drug and was later sentenced to one month imprisonment with immediate parole for all her matters.
• Later that day, a 39-year-old Riverview man was drug tested after being located riding a motorbike on Wood St.
At this time, police also allegedly found a quantity of powder in his pocket.
He was subsequently issued with a notice to appear for drug riding as well as possession of a dangerous drug.
Altercation
• Police are making further inquiries after a man allegedly threatened council workers.
The man left a house on Pratten St at about 11am on Thursday holding a letterbox, and crossed the road to the Mile End Park and began threatening Southern Downs Regional Council workers who were working there.
He then returned to his residence with his letterbox.
Police are awaiting CCTV footage.
Theft
• Overnight on October 2-3, a school workshop was broken into on Horsman Rd and a quantity of tools were stolen.
The matter comes a week after another school workshop was targeted on Glengallan Rd.
Detectives are investigating this matter.
