Southern Downs’ best coffee winner crowned

We’re on the hunt to locate the best cup of coffee in the Southern Downs region, and with so many to choose from we can now reveal who took out our poll here.

25 coffee lovers to taste the word's best brew in Melbourne

For the vast majority, a cup of coffee is the institution that grinds us to get out of bed in the morning and puts pep in our steps.

The Southern Downs has a wide range of selections, with a variety of stops around the region to get in that caffeine fix.

After receiving dozens of nominations from the community, we put together a list of coffee shops for the community to decide where the to find the best cuppa in the region.

After a tight competition between two Warwick cafes, we can now reveal Zarraffa’s Warwick has been crowned the winner of Southern Downs’ best coffee competition, followed closely by Katie’s Cocktail Cafe.

Zarraffa’s Warwick co-franchisee Danielle Smith was humbled the regional store had won the hearts of the community.

Having operated in the Southern Downs for 14 years, Ms Smith said the Warwick store makes around 700 coffees per day, serving more than 4000 customers each week.

“We have a really loyal customer base and have a warm and welcoming family-like service, we’re always making sure we have great service and great product day in, day out,” she said.

Ms Smith revealed the most popular beverage ordered at the Warwick store was none other than the equally sweet caramel fusion and caramelised cappuccino.

“Our region has a bit of a sweet tooth, the most popular beverage is a caramel fusion

and caramelised cappuccino,” she said.

“As we head into winter, we see a lot of orders for hot chocolates and white hot chocolates.”

Ms Smith said the team at Zarraffa’s Warwick are extremely thankful to the community for their continued support.

“For us, our customers are our lifeblood, and we can’t thank the community enough for their continued support,” she said.
