Southern Downs police investigating theft of rifle in break-in of Bony Mountain property
A pair of thieves have made off with a firearm after a late-night break in at a Southern Downs property.

Police are investigating after two people used a power tool to break into a shed on a Southern Downs property, making off with a firearm.
The theft occurred about 3am on May 26 at a Mountain Rd address with the offenders using a grinder to gain access.
Once inside they again used the grinder to access a gun safe stealing a Marlin XT-22MR rifle and leaving the scene in a utility with a dirt bike in the rear tray.
Abou 12pm on Monday police located a burnt CCTV camera and a pair of gloves used by the offenders on Palgrave Rd in Dalveen.
Anyone who may have witnessed anything suspicious or has dashcam footage is being asked to contact police.
