The region-wide search for a man urgently wanted for questioning in relation to a shocking public shooting in Warwick is yet to yield results for investigators, more than a week after the violent incident.
Police appealed for information on the whereabouts of Jackson Bruce Watson on Monday night, saying it was believed the 26-year-old Warwick man could assist their investigation into the shooting of fellow Warwick man Jason Martin.
Mr Martin remained in a critical condition in the intensive care unit for several days, but has since reached a stable condition and been moved out of the ICU.
“Police would particularly like to appeal to any associates of Jackson or anyone who may know his whereabouts to make immediate contact,” a spokesman said.
“Police consider him to be dangerous and the public should not approach him if sighted, but contact triple-0 immediately.”
Mr Watson made headlines when he spent weeks on the run in 2018, ending with a dramatic car chase through Killarney, Maryvale, and Yangan before his ultimate arrest in Warwick.
He was subsequently charged with 25 offences including burglary, arson of a motor vehicle, evading police, and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.
The Warwick man was sentenced for the offending to three and a half years’ jail in Warwick District Court in October, 2019, with parole eligibility from September 20, 2020.
Anyone with information on Mr Watson’s whereabouts is urged to contact triple-0 immediately.
He is described as caucasian, approximately 170cm tall with a proportionate build, and brown hair, and brown eyes.
