A Warwick pair has landed themselves in court for their abusive messages to a woman in a group chat.
The court heard Nicolas Jake Bullen Koopelian, 22, and Chrishelle Jade Bowman, 23, sent vile messages to a 23-year-old from August 24-29.
Examples of the messages the pair sent were “won’t be hard to find where you work,” a “fat f------ cow,” and “dumb c---.”
More than 90 messages in total were sent in the group at the victim.
The pair pleaded guilty to using a carrier service to menace, harass or offend.
Magistrate Virginia Sturgess said when the victim told Bowman to stop, the abusive messages continued.
“This is completely unacceptable behaviour based on a background that has nothing to do with you,” she said.
“It is really stupid behaviour, and I’m hoping this is a valuable lesson you’ve learnt, it’s just stupid and anti-social.”
The pair was fined $400.
