A Dalby man, who police will allege assaulted a man so severely he needed to spend thousands of dollars to fix the damage done, has been forced to wait for the matter to be finalised after proceedings stalled again.

Ethan Robert Wilson Long has been charged with assault occasioning bodily harm, and has not been required to enter a plea yet, after the matter was transferred to Warwick Magistrate Court from Dalby.

It has been alleged by police that Mr Long, 18, was involved in a “significant” assault, in which another man was so severely beaten he had received “severe” injuries, including $30,000 worth of dental work.

On Monday, June 12, Mr Long did not appear in court for his matter, but was represented by defence lawyer Sarah Campbell.

Ms Campbell told the court the defence were waiting for CCTV footage of the alleged incident, which the prosecution have not received yet.

The matter will appear before the court again on July 3.
