A Dalby man, who is alleged by police to have caused thousands of dollars of damage to a man during an assault in Warwick, has had his case transferred.

Ethan Robert Wilson Long appeared in Warwick Magistrates Court on Wednesday, facing a charge of assault occasioning bodily harm.

Mr Long has not yet been required to enter a plea to the charge.

It’s alleged the 18-year-old was involved in the assault of another man, which occurred in Warwick.

Last month, Dalby Magistrates Court was told details of the alleged “significant assault” which caused “substantial injuries,” including “up to $30,000 in damage in dental work.”

Defence lawyer Sarah Campbell said the defence needed CCTV footage and requested an adjournment due to the fact Mr Long had not completed a Legal Aid application.

The matter has been adjourned to June 12.
