A Dalby man who police will allege assaulted someone in Warwick, causing thousands of dollars’ worth of dental damage, has had his bail enlarged.
Ethan Robert Wilson Long, 18, faced Dalby Magistrates Court on April 18 after being charged with one count of assault occasioning bodily harm.
Police prosecutor Derek Brady said any conferencing should take place in the correct jurisdiction as the alleged attack happened at Warwick.
“It’s a significant assault with substantial injuries in the form of up to $30,000 worth of damage in dental work,” Sergeant Brady told the court.
Defence lawyer Julia Molloy requested video footage of the alleged assault and told the court the matter would be transferred to the Warwick office for further case conferencing.
“There is a defence raised by my client and I need to take instructions,” she said.
Mr Long is expected to appear at Warwick Magistrates Court on May 3 for mention.
