Boy hospitalised after swooping magpie knocks him off e-scooter

A magpie has left a boy with injuries and in a hospital after swooping him while he was on an e-scooter.

A primary school age boy has been hospitalised after he was reportedly knocked off his e-scooter by a swooping magpie.

Queensland Ambulance Service paramedics were called to an incident on Glen Road at Warwick about 8.30am on Monday.

They treated him for a facial laceration and transported him to the Warwick Hospital in a stable condition.

It was reported that the boy was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

About an hour later paramedics were called to a motorcycle crash on the Warrego Highway at Haigslea.

A woman suffered widespread abrasion and bruising in the crash and was transported to the Ipswich Hospital in a stable condition.
