Two people have been taken to hospital after a four-car crash sparked traffic chaos on the Sunshine Motorway.
Drivers were advised to take an alternate route on Sunday morning after a four-car crash shut down one lane of westbound traffic at Mountain Creek about 11am.
Eastbound traffic was also affected by the multi-car nose-to-tail crash.
Drivers reported delays of up to 20 minutes getting into Mooloolaba.
Two people were taken to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition with minor injuries as a result of the crash.
All others involved declined treatment by paramedics.
