The air was electric on Mooloolaba Beach as thousands of people flooded the area to celebrate the end of 2022 in style.
The music was pumping, camp chairs and picnic blankets lined the shore, and excitement filled the atmosphere as the coast prepared to bring in the new year.
Acting Chief Superintendent Christopher Stream said in a statement party goers were well behaved overall, and intermittent wet weather did not deter the crowds.
It was estimated around 25,000 people were at Mooloolaba for the 8.30pm firework show, while 35,000 people turned out for the midnight celebrations.
