Emergency crews have rushed to a peak-hour traffic crash on a major Sunshine Coast motorway.
A Queensland Fire Department spokesman said it was reported two cars had crashed in the southbound lanes of the Sunshine Mwy at the Mooloolaba exit about 5.40pm today, October 15.
He said paramedics were assisting one person and police and firefighters were on scene.
The crash was causing traffic delays.
Dirt bike trick gone wrong
A teenager was flown to a Sunshine Coast hospital after he tried a jump on a dirt bike and crashed.
The boy was attempting a jump on a private property in Cootharaba, in the Noosa region, when he came off his bike and crashed.
A LifeFlight chopper and Queensland Ambulance Service crews were called to the incident about 12.10pm today, October 14.
QAS paramedics arrived first on scene and treated the boy for a suspected injury to his left jaw and left lower leg.
The LifeFlight helicopter landed in a paddock near the crash.
The LifeFlight critical care doctor and QAS flight paramedic provided further treatment before the patient was flown to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
Paramedics rush to ute rollover on Bruce Hwy exit
Three people have freed themselves from wreckage after their ute smashed into a barrier off-ramp from the Bruce Highway on the Sunshine Coast.
A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said paramedics were called to a single car rollover on the exit at Tanawha - near Aussie World - about 2.15pm on Saturday.
The driver and two passengers managed to free themselves from the wreckage, the spokeswoman said.
All patients were in a stable condition but had yet to be taken to hospital
WEDNESDAY - More details emerge over alleged pub brawl screwdriver stabbing
Police have arrested and charged a 22-year-old man after he allegedly stabbed two older men with a screwdriver in a brawl at a popular hinterland pub.
Sunshine Coast Police have charged a man after two alleged assaults in the Glasshouse Mountains on Wednesday afternoon, October 9.
Investigations indicated that the 22-year-old Beerburram man allegedly was involved in a brawl with a group at the Glasshouse Tavern, on Reed St, Glass House Mountains.
Police will allege he stabbed a 42-year-old and a 52-year-old man with a screwdriver.
He then took off to a nearby train station where he allegedly stabbed another man with the screwdriver, in relation to the original fight at the pub.
Police were called to the area about 3.30pm and arrested the man near the train station.
Both men, 42 and 52, from the Glass House Mountains, were rushed to Sunshine Coast University Hospital with stab wounds.
The Beerburrum man was charged with two counts of assaults occasioning bodily harm while armed/in company.
He is set to appear in the Maroochydore Magistrates Court on October 31.
DELAYS: Three car, truck smash on busy Coast road
Early morning commuters can expect delays after a three car and truck smash has closed a lane eastbound on a busy Sunshine Coast road.
Emergency services are responding to a four vehicle crash on Caloundra Rd, at Meridan Plains, just before 8am, Tuesday morning.
A QAS spokeswoman said there were nine people involved in the crash.
She said an adult male was being rushed to hospital but that he had no significant injuries.
A QFD spokeswoman said they had two crews on scene and that police were redirecting traffic after the eastbound-left-lane was closed causing traffic delays.

MONDAY – Man rushed to hospital with head injuries from pond fall
A man has been rushed to hospital with head injuries after being rescued by onlookers when he fell into a pond overnight on the Sunshine Coast.
At Alexandra Headland on Sunday a man in his 40s reportedly fell into a pond off Okinja Rd.
Paramedics were called to the scene at 8.02pm.
A QAS spokesman said people on scene saw the incident and pulled him out of the pond to safety.
He suffered respiratory distress and head injuries.
He was rushed to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
At Verrierdale emergency services responded to a single car rollover on Eumundi Noosa Road, early Monday morning.
Paramedics rushed a man with shoulder pain to Sunshine Coast University Hospital at 1.41am.
He was in a stable condition.
