Rebecca Anne Moussalli pleads guilty to possessing drugs, rifle
A search warrant by the Tactical Crime Squad at a former medical staff member’s home has uncovered a weapon and drugs.

A former nurse found herself in the watch-house last week after a tactical raid on her home uncovered a weapon and drugs.
Rebecca Anne Moussalli, who is currently suspended from practising nursing, landed in the Maroochydore watch-house following a search warrant at her Buderim home on April 15.
Maroochydore Magistrates Court heard last week how the Tactical Crime Squad had the warrant in the 43-year-old’s name and executed it at her home about 10pm.
Police prosecutor Mel Pyke said during the search officers uncovered 50g of marijuana and quantity of diazepam tablets.
Sergeant Pyke said police however also found a bolt from a rifle located on top of women’s clothing in a bedroom.
Moussalli told them the rest of the rifle was in the laundry which was located.
The court was told the former nurse was also found with a Medicare prescription pad from which had details of a doctor from a NSW medical centre.
Moussalli told police she did know anything about it. The 43-year-old also told officers she was prescribed the tablets but did not have the script.
She was charged two counts of possessing dangerous drugs, one of unlawful possession of suspected stolen property and unlawful possession of a weapon.
The former nurse appeared in Maroochydore Magistrates Court the following day from the watch-house last week, where she pleaded guilty.
Defence solicitor Madalyn Olivero said the 43-year-old mother was actively trying to break the drug use cycle by attending counselling sessions along with an online rehabilitation course.
Ms Olivero said the Buderim woman co-operated with police and also made admissions.
Magistrate Rod Madsen placed Moussalli on a 12 month probation order and recorded a conviction.
According to the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency register, Moussalli was suspended from practising nursing.
