Boxer Ben Cameron-Hands says preparation is going well ahead of his second professional fight on August 28.

A Sunshine Coast boxer is confident he can keep his professional record in order as he prepares for his upcoming fight on August 28.

Sunshine Coast boxer Ben Cameron-Hands will head into his second professional fight brimming with confidence after winning on debut via a first round knockout.

With more than 90 amateur fights to his name, Cameron-Hands is set to step into the ring once again on August 28 against Queenslander Dennis Ryan.

After excelling in his professional debut the 20-year old said he couldn’t be more excited to go again.

“I’m super excited going into my second professional fight and hopefully I can get another win to my record,” he said.

“The camp for this fight has been very good, all the hard work has been done now it’s time for the easy bit and have fun dancing under the lights.”

Cameron-Hands said the lead up to the fight had been solid.

“I was a bit worried during lockdown in case the fight was going to be called off but that still didn’t stop any of my training and I feel as if I’m in the right headspace,” he said.

“I’m feeling confident going into this one after a first round knockout, but I won’t be getting into the ring over confident and underestimating my opponent.

“I’m hoping for a win on the night and after this fight hopefully I get to fight in front of a home crowd on the Sunshine Coast in October.”

Brother Sam Cameron-Hands also made his mark on the sport after making his professional debut on March 13 and winning via knockout in the first 30 seconds.

Both fighters have been trained by well known boxing coach Mark Evans.
