A Coast bowls club has been evacuated after a flames were reportedly seen coming from the roof of the building.

Emergency services were called to the Tewantin Noosa Bowls Club in Hilton Terrace, Tewantin, shortly before 11am.

A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokeswoman said an initial caller had reported flames coming from the roof.

The spokeswoman said crews could only see a small amount of smoke when they arrived and believed that had been caused by a fire in solar panels.

She said the building had been evacuated as a precaution.
