Roys Rd Beerwah fatal crash police confirm one dead

A person has died in a truck and vehicle crash on the Sunshine Coast which has shut down a major intersection just west of the Bruce Highway.

Police have confirmed a person has died after a horror truck and vehicle crash in Beerwah.

Emergency services were called to the intersection of Roys Rd and Dianella Rd, Beerwah about 3.50pm Monday, November 29.

A Queensland Police Service spokesman confirmed the crash was a fatal.

He said the intersection would be closed for some time.

Photos from the scene showed a truck had left the road and debris had been scattered across the bitumen.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said the crash was serious and involved a truck and vehicle.

It was understood a third vehicle had been hit by debris following the crash and had sustained windscreen damage.

In a tweet, Queensland Police urged motorists to avoid the area and said delays were to be expected.

It comes after two young men were tragically killed last week in a crash at Buderim.
