Police investigate man’s sudden death at Currimundi Lake

A report is being prepared for the coroner following the sudden death of a young man at a popular Sunshine Coast lake.

Emergency services were called to Currimundi Lake on the Sunshine Coast after a man suffered what was believed to be a medical episode.

Police are investigating a young man’s sudden death near Currimundi on the Sunshine Coast on Friday afternoon.

Emergency services were called to a Currimundi Lake access track around 2.30pm with reports a man had suffered a medical episode.

It was understood the man suffered a medical episode and could not be revived.

A rescue helicopter was tasked to the scene but not required, Channel 7 Sunshine Coast reported.

A Queensland Police spokeswoman said it was believed to be non-suspicious.

She said a report would be prepared for the coroner.
