A Noosa woman charged with child cruelty after a four-year-old child fell from a balcony has faced court.
The woman, who cannot be named for legal reasons, faces one charge of cruelty to children under the age of 16.
She appeared in the Noosa Magistrates Court on Tuesday, July 7.
Solicitor Madalyn Olivero briefly appeared for the woman and requested a three-week adjournment.
Police prosecutor sergeant Phillip Stephens told the court it was expected the matter would undergo case conferencing in the coming weeks.
A police spokeswoman previously told this publication the Sunshine Beach woman had been charged after an investigation into the serious fall of a four-year-old boy.
The child fell from a balcony at a residential property on Park Crescent in Sunshine Beach just before midday on Saturday, June 14.
He suffered significant head and facial injuries.
The matter was adjourned and the woman is expected to appear back in court on July 29.
