A man and a woman charged with offences following a major Sunshine Coast drug bust appeared in the Maroochydore Magistrates Court on Thursday.

Thomas Craig Hatch, 20, and Harper McCaffrey-Randall, 21, attended court together to hear the next steps in their case following their arrests in January.

The charges stem from a police operation launched in October last year, targeting the production, sale, and use of dangerous drugs.

After months of investigations, officers from Kawana Waters, Caloundra, and Caloundra South stations, alongside the Sunshine Coast tactical crime squad, conducted search warrants on January 22 at properties in Minyama, Mountain Creek, and Nirimba.

A vehicle in Minyama was also searched.

As a result, police allegedly seized 766g of MDMA, 118g of cocaine, 785g of cannabis, a cannabis plant, $4100 in cash, and eight mobile phones.

Ms McCaffrey-Randall, a real estate agent, is charged with supplying dangerous drugs.

Court documents state she was living at the same address in Minyama as Mr Hatch, where the alleged offence occurred.

Police allege that on December 14, last year, she supplied cocaine to another person.

Mr Hatch, now living in Beerwah and working as a labourer for RoadTek, faces 11 charges.

These include three counts of drug trafficking, allegedly involving cocaine, methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA), and cannabis, between January 2024 and January 2025.

He also faces charges of possessing counterfeit money, three $100 bills, along with property suspected to have been used in drug offences including mobile phones, clip-seal bags, and a cryovac (vacuum sealing) machine.

Police also allege he had $1595 in suspected proceeds of crime and failed to comply with an order to provide access to electronic information.

Additional charges include possessing drug paraphernalia such as grinders, scissors, bowls, and water pipes, as well as three separate counts of possessing dangerous drugs including MDMA, cocaine, and cannabis.
