Cries could be heard in a courtroom after a Maroochydore woman’s defence team said she would not be applying for bail after being charged with stabbing a man.
Court documents state Teena Veronica Skilton, 55, was arrested after she allegedly caused grievous bodily harm to Robert Edward Skilton, 56, at a Beach Pde unit in Maroochydore at 3.12am on Tuesday September 13, 2022.
Police and critical care paramedics treated Mr Skilton for a chest wound and was rushed to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
Ms Skilton was questioned by police and was later charged with grievous bodily harm (domestic violence offence) and remanded into custody.
Her matter was mentioned briefly in Maroochydore Magistrates Court on Wednesday September 14, 2022 where she was represented by solicitor Phoebe MacTaggart.
Ms MacTaggart told the court the 55-year-old Maroochydore woman would not be applying for bail and had her matter adjourned November 18, 2022.
Cries could be heard in the public gallery after several of Ms Skilton’s supporters learnt the update in court.
A brief of evidence was ordered and Ms Skilton was held in custody.
