A rescue helicopter has been called to a two-car crash in the Sunshine Coast hinterland that has left one person in a critical condition.
Police were called to the crash just before 8am Friday, September 16, 2022 on Kilcoy Beerwah Rd at Cedarton, near Peachester.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said paramedics were assessing a patient who is in a critical condition and a rescue helicopter had been called.
A Queensland Police spokesman said a forensic crash unit was on its way to the scene.
A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokesman said one crew arrived at the crash site just before 8.45am and there was no one trapped in the cars.
The road is now open after being shut in both directions.
