A SERIAL pest was convicted of following a woman at the beach before he tried to lure children from the water hours before he was crash-tackled outside court for heckling a teenage girl.

Laszlo Fekete failed to appear before Maroochydore Magistrates Court today on his third public nuisance charge involving separate, young female complainants since June.

Hungarian national Fekete made headlines after Sunshine Coast CIB officer-in-charge

Daren Edwards tackled him on film as a father chased Fekete from his daughter outside the Maroochydore courthouse on June 19. Fekete was previously convicted of public nuisance for this incident.

Police prosecutor Vicky Kennedy-Grills today told the court about 6am that same day, Fekete made a woman feel "uncomfortable" as he followed her from the beach in front of Coolum Surf Club, up to her car and back.

"The witness confronted him and asked what he was doing, he made a comment that she looked like Jesus and then left," Sen Sgt Kennedy-Grills told the court.

"The defendant is then alleged to have gone further up the beach where he's alleged to have gone into the water where there's some children, yelling at them 'get out of the water, come to me, come to me', and continuing to entice them, making them feel uncomfortable."

The court heard police found Fekete at McDonald's about 7am that morning, and he admitted he had harassed the woman and children on the beach, but denied taking any property.

It is understood Fekete is in Australia on a student visa, studying business at Mooloolaba TAFE.

He was previously convicted and fined for public nuisance on June 21 to 22.

On this occasion, he harassed young female Sephora staff to "smell him", and told them "I love you girls, I want to stay here and party all night with you".
