Ella Cowton to plead guilty to drink driving, driving without due care and attention

A wannabe influencer has indicated she will plead guilty to driving three times over the alcohol limit, while unlicensed, and is now leaving behind her Ocean St nightclub gig to live with her parents on the Gold Coast.

A wannabe influencer has indicated she will plead guilty to driving three times over the alcohol limit, while unlicensed, and is now leaving behind her Ocean St nightclub gig to live with her parents on the Gold Coast.

Ella Nelice Cowton, 24, has indicated she will plead guilty to charges in relation to a boozy crash into a pole without a driver’s licence.

The Nirimba social media influencer, who boasts thousands of followers on Instagram and TikTok, had her matters mentioned at Maroochydore Magistrates Court on Monday, September 16.

She is charged with driving under the influence of liquor, driving without due care and attention and driving without a licence.

Police alleged in court documents the charges related to a drunken incident in Maroochydore on July 27.

Police prosecutor Michael Quirk previously told the court the 24-year-old allegedly returned a blood alcohol reading of 0.175 per cent.

In Cowton’s social media profiles, she can be seen working at an Ocean St nightclub.

Today, the court heard Cowton was fleeing the Sunshine Coast after her drunken crash to live with her parents on the Gold Coast.

Her charges were adjourned and transferred to Southport Magistrates Court on Friday, October 18.

Cowton did not appear in court today.
