Missing Marcoola woman Jenny Atherton was found dead on Tuesday morning following a police search on the Sunshine Coast.
A Queensland Police spokesman said a search was conducted this morning in the Marcoola area.
It is understood she was found near a beach access in bushland at Mudjimba.
In a press release, police said initial investigations suggested there were no suspicious circumstances.
“Police will prepare a report for the coroner,” a spokesman said.
Sunshine Coast police acknowledged the help of the SES volunteers who helped search for Ms Atherton this morning in a Facebook post.
“Thank you to all the SES volunteers who assisted Sunshine Coast police with the search for missing person Jenny Atherton this morning you are truly valued by the QPS,” the post stated.
Last Thursday, November 17, police asked the community for assistance to help find the mother and revealed a couple of her final voicemails.
The 54-year-old Marcoola woman went missing from a Lexie St home about 9am on November 9.
Sunshine Coast Criminal Investigation Branch officer-in-charge Craig Mansfield said Ms Atherton left two voicemails to two different people on that day.

In one, to her daughter, she said “I love you, goodbye” and to another person she left a statement like “I just need some chill time”.
The Detective senior sergeant said, during a press conference outside Maroochydore Police Station on November 17, that Ms Atherton had “taken leave” from her family previously but the alarm was raised after she failed to check in with them.
