Rumours of a possible vigilante attack are being investigated in the alleged stabbing of two people on the Sunshine Coast during the Easter holidays.

Detectives charged three people following the alleged “rampage” stabbing at Coolum Beach which left two men with horrific stab wounds.

Natasha Isabel Weston of Coolum Beach and Ty Dale George Crosswell of Mount Coolum were charged with two counts of acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm and one of armed robbery and assault occasioning bodily harm. Weston was additionally charged with possessing dangerous drugs and possessing utensils.

Yandina man Kaleb Howell was also charged with two counts of acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm, and one count each of armed robbery and assault occasioning bodily harm.

Weston, a stay-at-home mum and cleaner, 37, faced Maroochydore Magistrates Court on April 10 where she was refused bail, with police alleging she “instructed” her co-accused Crosswell, also known as Ty Sheppard, to stab the victims and kill them following a fight in the suburban park.

In bail objection documents, police say the two alleged victims, a 31-year-old man and 18-year-old man from Noosaville, caught the bus to Coolum Beach with two women and made their way to the park about 5.40pm on March 30.

Police allege Weston, Howell and Crosswell emerged from the bush area when the 37-year-old woman called out to the two alleged victims “who the f--- are you looking at”.

“Keep walking,” one of the alleged victims replied.

Court documents state Weston called out to Crosswell and Howell before a fight broke out between the trio and the two men.

Detectives allege Weston instructed Crosswell to “pull the knife out and let’s stab these dogs”, before she later yelled out to “f---ing kill the c---, kill him”.

It was here police allege Crosswell pulled a knife out and used it to strike the 18-year-old’s left elbow before stabbing the 31-year-old in the left side of his chest.

Weston allegedly grabbed the 31-year-old by the throat.

Police allege the 31-year-old called out to his teenage counterpart and said “I’ve been stabbed”.

“I know, me too,” the 18-year-old victim allegedly replied.

The teenager allegedly tried to retreat from the attack and collapsed when Weston whistled to a group of juveniles who were standing outside the Coolum Beach Hotel.

Witnesses thankfully intervened however Weston, Crosswell and Howell allegedly fled the scene.

Both victims were rushed to hospital with the 31-year-old suffering an injury to his heart which caused “significant blood loss” while the 18-year-old had a slashing wound to his forearm which cut down to the bone, as well as a black eye.

Police allege the 31-year-old required resuscitation while both men required surgery.

Court documents state the 18-year-old suffered injuries to his tendons and nerves and it was unknown whether he will regain full use of his arm at this time.

Detectives rushed to the scene and allegedly tracked the trio through a silver Holden Colorado and CCTV footage belonging to the Coolum Beach Hotel.

Court documents state police found the Holden Colorado in Mount Coolum where they spoke to Howell, who allegedly said he drove Weston and Crosswell to the park in Coolum Beach. He told police he saw two “homeless” men approach the trio and abuse Weston.

Howell allegedly said this escalated into a fight where he tried to help the pair when he saw “blood everywhere” before the group left the scene.

Detectives spoke to Weston who said she allegedly started the incident because she was confronted by “two homeless guys” at the park who she alleged were responsible for an assault on a woman the night before.

The Coolum Beach woman said it evolved into a fight but denied seeing a knife and refused a formal interview with officers.

Police allege in court documents body worn camera footage from their chat with Weston showed her pulling out wet clothing from a washing machine which were similar to the clothes she was identified as wearing during the stabbing.

Detectives allege during a search of Weston’s phone a message to a contact stated how her and other people were “going on a rampage looking 4 these c---s, 2 men bashing 1 young lady = DEATH”.

Police raided her home on April 9 where a container of prescription marijuana was located, suspected of belonging to one of the alleged victim’s, while Crosswell’s home was searched where a bladed weapon was allegedly found along with clothes matching him to CCTV.

Weston and Crosswell will have their matters mentioned on August 16, while Howell will appear in court on April 30.
