Matika Jean Tikotikoca charged with attempted robbery of Currimundi Foodworks

Caloundra detectives will allege a 19-year-old Brisbane teenager was involved in the alleged attempted robbery of Sunshine Coast Foodworks.

A 19-year-old Brisbane teen who was allegedly involved in an attempted armed robbery at the Currimundi Foodworks has faced court for the first time.

Caloundra detectives allege Matika Jean Tikotikoca stole a box cutter from the Buderim St business on February 28 and tried to rob the supermarket with another alleged offender.

The Arana Hills teen was investigated by detectives and later charged on March 2 with attempted robbery while armed/in company, enter premises with intent and unauthorised dealing with shop goods.

Ms Tikotikoca appeared in Caloundra Magistrates Court on Wednesday for her first mention and asked for it to be adjourned so she could speak with her solicitor.

Magistrate Katherine Benson adjourned the matter to April 20 2022.
