Man dies after incident at popular Kawana beach

A man in his 70s has died after collapsing on the sand along Buddina beach on Sunday afternoon.
Emergency services were called to the scene at 5.10pm after the man collapsed and surf lifesavers began treating the man with CPR.
A Queensland Ambulance spokesman said paramedics arrived at the scene near the Kawana Surf Club carpark on Pacific Blvd but despite their efforts the man was later declared deceased.
This comes after a young woman drowned at Bulcock Beach on Sunday, January 22 and the search for a 21-year-old man swept off Teewah Beach was scaled back following his disappearance on Saturday, January 21.
