HALF a Viagra tablet brought a Coast man to police attention after his wallet was handed to police.
Mark Anthony Popping lost his wallet before it was handed to police on July 30.
Police contacted Popping, 51, and questioned him about half a blue tablet they found inside.
“He said it was Viagra, he said he didn’t remember when or where he got it, however, he knows he is not prescribed it nor did he get it from the pharmacy” police prosecutor Allison Johnstone said.
Popping pleaded guilty to the unlawful possession of a controlled drug.
Duty lawyer Lachlan Ygoa-McKeown said Popping found the breakdown of his marriage difficult, leading to drug offences on his history.
Magistrate Maxine Baldwin said drug related offences were the only kind on his criminal history, and he had previously been convicted of producing drugs.
He was fined $800 and the conviction was recorded.
