Detectives arrest juvenile trio allegedly wanted over armed robbery, break and enters across Sunshine Coast

Three teenagers believed to be responsible for an alleged armed robbery and string of break and enters across the Sunshine Coast have been arrested.

Detectives have arrested three juveniles believed to be responsible for an alleged violent armed robbery at Noosa and a string of break and enters across the Sunshine Coast.

Sunshine Coast CIB acting officer-in-charge Peter Hocken said three teens, all aged 16, were arrested in Logan on Tuesday.

Senior Sergeant Hocken said they were charged on a “raft” of offences from Noosa, Pelican Waters and Brisbane.

He said the teens were well known to authorities.

Police allege the trio used a knife and screwdriver to threaten a Noosaville service station attendant on August 3 before stealing cash and cigarettes.

The offenders allegedly fled in a stolen car and evaded police on the Bruce Highway towards Brisbane.

Sergeant Hocken said they were allegedly involved in break and enters at Pelican Waters earlier this week.

One of the alleged victims was celebrity chef Kim McCosker who had three “distinctive” cars stolen from her home.

Kim McCosker's Toyota Supra was allegedly stolen from her Pelican Waters home on Monday morning.

Her vehicles included a Mini Country Man, a Range Rover and a Toyota Supra.

Ms McCosker described the alleged offenders as “out of control”.

Sergeant Hocken said there were offenders still outstanding.

“We believe they were behind the robbery of the Noosa servo and the break and enters at Pelican Waters,” Sergeant Hocken said.

“They were extensive and their offending had elements of violence particularly with the armed robbery.”
