A Maroochydore man who allegedly used his position at a nightclub to target young women has been arrested and charged with dozens of serious offences.

Callum Luke Westcott Fisher, 23, was arrested on charges including several counts of unlawful stalking, deprivation of liberty, torture and other more serious charges.

Police allege the charges related to four women.

Mr Fisher was also facing several assault-related charges including two counts of assault occasioning bodily harm and two counts of common assault as well as fraud and extortion charges.

Sunshine Coast Criminal Investigation Branch officer in charge Craig Mansfield said Mr Fisher allegedly met two of the women while he worked as a security guard at the Maroochydore Safe Night Precinct.

Detective Senior Sergeant Mansfield said the arrest provided some resolution for the alleged victims.

Sergeant Mansfield said it would be alleged Mr Fisher targeted young and intoxicated women.

Sergeant Mansfield said the “significant” arrest was the result of an investigation from a joint task force over three months involving Sunshine Coast and Brisbane investigators.

“Police will allege there has been some coercive control over these victims, elements of stalking and some physical harm,” he said.

Sergeant Mansfield described the allegations as “serious”.

“There are allegations this male has overtaken their social media accounts, followed them and caused financial detriment by accessing their accounts.”

He said the four women were semi-known to each other.

Solicitor Chelsea Emery said she had received extensive information regarding the alleged offences and asked for an adjournment to clarify instructions from her client.
