A total of 19 complainants have come forward in the case of a well-known Maroochydore security guard who has been accused of misusing his position at a nightclub to target young women, a court has heard.
Callum Luke Westcott Fisher, 23, has had additional charges added to his already lengthy list as police are investigating reports from new complainants.
The new charges include deprivation of liberty, disabling in order to commit an indictable offence, entering dwelling with intent, stalking and other more serious charges.
Mr Fisher, who had no recorded criminal history, did not appear in Maroochydore Magistrates Court when his matters were mentioned on Monday.
Sunshine Coast Criminal Investigation Branch officer in charge Craig Mansfield told the media outside court on Monday the fresh charges related to one of 19 complainants who had come forward to police.
He said 14 complaints were still under investigation.
The fresh charges come after police last week revealed Mr Fisher was arrested and charged for several counts of unlawful stalking, deprivation of liberty, torture and other more serious charges.
Police allege the original offences related to four women.
Detective Senior Sergeant Mansfield previously told the Daily Mr Fisher allegedly met two of the four women while he worked as a security guard at the Maroochydore Safe Night Precinct.
He said it would be alleged Mr Fisher targeted young and intoxicated women.
Mr Fisher was also facing several assault-related charges including two counts of assault occasioning bodily harm and two counts of common assault as well as fraud and extortion charges.
The significant arrest was the result of an investigation from a joint task force over three months involving Sunshine Coast and Brisbane investigators.
Mr Fisher’s solicitor Chelsea Emery told the court on Monday the 23-year-old would not apply for bail.
Magistrate Raelene Ellis adjourned the matter to May 6 for a committal mention.
Sergeant Mansfield urged women that wanted to make a complaint and who didn’t feel comfortable presenting to a police station to take advantage of online reporting.
“If they feel more comfortable doing that we can follow up those investigations from there,” he said.
