A Caloundra man charged in relation to a major cocaine bust last month in sleepy coastal suburb had his matter heard in a Sunshine Coast court on Friday.
Adrian John Doessel, 26, appeared at Maroochydore Magistrates Court on Friday August 4, where he faced 13 charges including drug trafficking, drug possession and possessing explosives.
Mr Doessel, who works as a tradesman, has not yet entered a plea to the charges.
According to court documents, police allege Mr Doessel trafficked cocaine from January 2022 and July 2023 at a property in Aroona.
Three search warrants carried out by the Sunshine Coast Tactical Crime Squad at the Aroona property on July 13, 2023 located a variety of illegal drugs and utensils.
A quarter of a kilogram of cocaine, about 113g of MDMA and about 9kg of cannabis along with drug utensils and $320,000 was seized by police.
Sunshine Coast Criminal Investigation Branch officer-in-charge Detective Senior Sergeant Craig Mansfield previously described the drug operation as “high level”.
“It’s a good result for the Sunshine Coast, it’s dismantled a really high level drug supplier,” Sergeant Mansfield said.
A total of four people, including Mr Doessel, were charged with drug offences in relation to the Aroona drug raid.
Mr Doessel remains on bail and will next appear in the Maroochydore Magistrates Court on October 6.
