Man dies in tractor incident along Baxter Creek Rd, Obi Obi

A man has tragically died after he suffered critical injuries when crushed to death by a tractor at the weekend in the Sunshine Coast hinterland – with locals saying it’s “so sad”.

A man has been killed after he was reportedly crushed by a tractor in the Sunshine Coast hinterland.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said paramedics were called to a private property along Baxter Creek Rd at Obi Obi about 1pm on Sunday to reports of a tractor accident.

Multiple crews rushed to the scene to assist a man in his 40s who suffered critical injuries, however he sadly died at the scene.

Sunshine Coast locals have shared their condolences online.

“Sad,” Angela Nelly said.

“Shudder to think about this,” Karen Goltz said.

“So sad,” Angelo Proamps Hobbywing said.

“Devastating,” Mick Pinky said.
