One of the region’s most prominent homegrown developers has pitched plans for a new 30-unit riverfront development.
Consultants lodged plans with Sunshine Coast Council on August 25 on behalf of Pratt Property Group for a high-end new riverfront apartment complex in Maroochydore.
Existing homes on the 2024sq m site would make way for the Bradman Avenue proposal, should it be granted council approval.
Pratt Property Group is led by prominent developer and philanthropist Mal Pratt, who started out in the industry delivering spec homes in Maroochydore and Kawana.
He made his fortune building retirement villages and his company still operated in that space, developing vertical retirement options six to seven storeys with plans to expand further in that category.
The proposal lodged last week was for a four-storey unit complex with basement carpark overlooking the Maroochy River.
A mix of one, two and three-bedroom units was proposed.
The O. G. E Group Architects-designed project featured private courtyards for the six ground-floor units.
The whole complex was set to provide 77 bedrooms across the 30 units.
Parking would be provided for eight visitors and 55 residents’ parking spaces in the basement level with the complex to be accessed via Minti Street with each unit to also have its own bicycle space.
The development proposed was considered to be code-assessable by consultants according to the planning documents lodged.
Late last year another company Mr Pratt was involved in lodged plans for another four-storey complex in Sippy Downs.
