Lleyton Bartlett funeral: Details confirmed for Nambour Connection Rd fatal victim

Funeral details have been confirmed for popular Sunshine Coast mechanic and former Immanuel Lutheran College student Lleyton Bartlett who died in a roadside tragedy.

The life of a popular young diesel mechanic who tragically died while working on a broken-down bus alongside a colleague will be honoured in a touching funeral service.

Details have been confirmed for the funeral of Lleyton Bartlett, 22, of Baringa, who died on the afternoon of Thursday, April 21, 2022, after he was allegedly hit by a car while working on a bus on Nambour Connection Rd, Woombye.

Mr Bartlett and his colleague, Aaron Pitt, 25, of Currimundi, were both rushed to Sunshine Coast University Hospital with critical injuries but the pair tragically passed away.

Mr Bartlett’s funeral will be held on Friday, May 13 at 10.30am at Gregson and Weight on Wises Rd, Buderim.

The much-loved former Immanuel Lutheran College student was a talented hockey player and was remembered by his mum Lisa as a “full of life” character who’d lived life in the fast lane.

A funeral service will be held for Mr Pitt on Friday, May 6 at Gregson and Weight Caloundra at 1pm.

A 43-year-old Warana woman has since been charged with dangerous driving of a vehicle causing death whilst adversely affected by an intoxicating substance following the police investigation.
