A Sunshine Coast car dealership has been forced into the hands of a liquidator, following a Supreme Court order to shut the company down.
The company, Bill & Tim’s Journey Pty Ltd, operated two businesses, according to the Australian Business Register, Freedom Cars Nambour and Hilltop Motors.
The ABR site shows Freedom Cars Nambour had been trading under that name since June 2023 and Hilltop Motors was established in September 2022.
The company’s director was Nambour man, Timothy Andrew O’Brien, according to the Australian Securities and Investments Commission documents.
The ASIC documents showed Mr O’Brien acted in the role of director since August 2022 and the principal place of business for the company was at an address in Oakhurst.
Liquidator William Robson was appointed to wind the company up and liquidate by a Queensland Supreme Court order delivered on June 4.
Documents showed the legal action was brought by BKJB Investments Pty Ltd against Bill & Tim’s Journey Pty Ltd and a second respondent, Skibows Investments Pty Ltd, in May this year.
The company record also shows Mr O’Brien’s provided address had “ASIC mail returned affective 13/11/2024”.
The latest document to be uploaded with the corporate regulator showed the company had relocated to the address of the liquidator’s office in Woolloongabba.
Mr Robson has been contacted by this publication for comment regarding the circumstances of the Supreme Court order and liquidation.
