The owner of a Sunshine Coast cleaning business has had a rough end to the year after she was called out on A Current Affair by a popular radio host and her house was raided by police.
Kyla Hutton was accused on the Channel 9 show by The Block star Jess Eva of filming a “sexy video” in the master bedroom while she was supposed to be cleaning her house for $650.
The episode that aired on October 31 showed Ms Eva confronting Hutton about the video that was “accidentally” sent to her and how she had stayed overnight at the property, used the shower and didn’t properly clean the home.
Ms Hutton who is an avid Tik Tok user later apologised for the “unprofessional” video on her Facebook page, saying it was never her intention.
“I’ll admit that I took a 20-second Snapchat video of me lip syncing … I accidentally sent Jess the video while I was sending her photos of the decrepit state of the property,” Ms Hutton wrote in the post.
In an unrelated matter, the cleaner appeared in Maroochydore Magistrates Court on November 24 and pleaded guilty to possessing dangerous drugs and possessing a glass pipe.
The court heard police searched her Maroochydore address at 11.40am on October 19.
Inside they found a pink backpack with a clipseal bag containing less than a gram of a crystal substance and a glass smoking pipe.
Ms Hutton represented herself and said she had a cleaning business up until recently.
“I had control over my (drug) use until this A Current Affairs thing came up, the story about me, that’s kind of when I went back off the bandwagon,” Ms Hutton told the court.
“I’ve lost everything, I’ve lost my company.”
Magistrate Haydn Stjernqvist told Hutton to be careful who she “hangs around with” and fined her $600.
No conviction was recorded.
