The family and friends of a Brisbane man who tragically lost his life after he jumped from a bridge at Noosa hope to repatriate his body back to the United Kingdom following his sudden death.

Joshua Santos Christian sadly died at the weekend after he jumped off Noosa Sound Bridge in the early hours of Sunday morning and did not resurface in a case of what police believe was misadventure.

It’s understood Christian, in his early 30s, was one of several who were jumping from the bridge while others looked on.

Mr Christian jumped once from the bridge and returned to jump once more when he slipped as he stepped over the railing, where he hit his head on the way down.

Emergency crews rushed to the scene before a local boat operator used sonar equipment to find the man’s body. Police divers pulled him from the water about 6am that morning.

A fundraiser was started by friends and family of Mr Christian on Wednesday, who remembered the Brisbane man as a “beautiful soul” with the “purest energy”.

“Everyone deserves a Josh in their lives, he was a very special person and touched so many people,” the fundraiser stated.

“Everyone he met has stories to tell and as hard as it is to accept, our brother has passed after a tragic accident in Noosa, Australia.

“He moved to Australia and was in a happy place smashing life with his Aussie tribe and his loving girlfriend, Becca.”

The fundraiser stated he passed away living a happy and loving life, and always lived up to his motto “here for a good time not a long time”.

“Josh lived for his friends and beautiful family,” the fundraiser continued.

“He loved finding the joy and passion in everything, he completely embodied music and dancing, both were in his blood, he danced first and thought later.”
