The man behind a popular Sydney-based crepe franchise is bringing his unique tastes to Noosa after securing a long-awaited sea change.

Co-owner Florian Guillemard has taken his talent for crepe making to the tourist mecca after opening Flo’s Creperie in September.

Guillemard launched Four Frogs Creperie in Sydney back in 2013.

Mr Guillemard and his wife had long coveted a sea change and eventually made the move to the Sunshine Coast in 2020.

They established their new restaurant complete with liquor licence on Sunshine Beach Rd and employed 20 staff serving up delicacies from 7am-9pm six days a week.

“I’ve been involved in restaurants all my life and I’ve been making crepes for over 15 years,” Mr Guillemard said.

“I started Four Frogs with a single restaurant which did really well and we ended up expanding to a total of four restaurants all around Sydney.

“We decided it was time for a change so we moved to Noosa and have since started fresh with Flo’s.”

The crepe-filled menu offers a range of variety to customers with toppings ranging from the classics of Belgian chocolate, strawberries and almonds to the more diverse pan-fried scallops, buttered leeks and garlic-macadamia crumbs.

Mr Guillemard said he was unsure how the restaurant would be received initially.

“I think we’re quite unique and quite different to the surrounding restaurants,” he said.

“When you start something new you never know how it will turn out but we were really well welcomed by the locals so it’s been great so far.

“We put a lot of effort and a lot of passion into our work so to be able to make our customers happy is a great feeling.”
