A Stanthorpe man facing multiple charges of indecent treatment of children and rape has had his charges mentioned in court.
The man – who cannot be named to risk identifying the victim - faces a total of 17 charges, including 12 rape charges, four charges of indecent treatment of a child under 16 and one charge of sexual assault.
The man is yet to enter a plea on any charges at this date, and is understood to not currently be in custody.
The matter was mentioned again on Wednesday, November 8 in Warwick Magistrates Court, with police prosecutor Sergeant Steve de Lissa confirming to the court he had been in contact with two witnesses regarding the matter.
The prosecutor said the witnesses would be available for a two hour committal hearing for the man to determine if or when the matter would go to trial.
The man will appear in court again on December 20.
