Snowflakes in Stanthorpe is just one sleep away and there are so many fun activities to cram in over the three-day festival, including ice skating, circus performances, a petting zoo and the magical snowfields.
Here are 13 fun family-friendly activities children can enjoy at this winter wonderland event:
1. Volcano making
For the first time this year kids can build their own snow volcanoes.
Each person gets to shape their volcano and create a science experiment with bicarb soda and vinegar to produce a lava ooze.

2. Petting zoo
Get up close and personal with some of your favourite animals this weekend.
This is the perfect way for your child to see and cuddle the cute animals.

3. Tobogganing
Slide down the snow hill on your very own toboggan.
This is perfect opportunity for the kids to get a taste of flying down the snow.

4. Snowfields
Nothing quite says Snowflakes in Stanthorpe like the snowfields.
Kids can play around in the icy magic making snowmen and throwing snowballs.

5. Craft workshops

7. Ice skating rink
Put your skates on and have a whole of lot of fun on the synthetic ice rink, which is also bigger than previous years.
Practise your skating moves while you glide on the ice, with parents able to assist the more inexperienced children.

8. Giant inflatable slide

There are many different characters, symbols or animals you can get painted on the face so don’t miss out.

For those willing to test their fear of heights and brave the wall this the activity to do so.

11. Fireworks
Watch the night sky be lit up with all the colours of the rainbow.
Hear the bangs as the fireworks burst and cuddle up to mum and dad in a warm blanket as you enjoy the spectacle.

12. Movies

13. Laser show
For the first time at Snowflakes, watch different coloured lasers, patterns and snowflake designs shine on the glistening water.
This family-fun event will also be an experience for the ears, with music playing during the show.
