A resident has been taken to Stanthorpe Hospital overnight after a Kerosene heater in their house caught alight.

Multiple emergency service crews were called to the scene on Cavallaro Lane, Glen Aplin at 7.24pm on Wednesday.

A patient was taken to Stanthorpe Hospital in a stable condition as a precaution.

A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokeswoman said the fire was ignited from the home’s Kerosene heater.

“Two crews attended … (but) it was out pretty quickly,” she said.

Police said the fire is not being treated as suspicious.
