A driver was taken to Stanthorpe Hospital with chest pain and her car left extensively damaged after she was struck by a P-plater in a collision at a busy intersection on Tuesday morning.

A woman was taken to Stanthorpe Hospital with reported chest pains following a head-on crash at a busy intersection on Tuesday morning.
Emergency services were called to the scene at 7.58am on the intersection of Thulimbah School and Amiens Roads.
An ambulance spokeswoman said a 39-year-old Glen Aplin woman was taken to Stanthorpe Hospital in a stable condition with “chest pains”.
Stanthorpe acting police officer-in-charge Chris Stewart said it appeared a P-plater failed to give way at a give way sign and collided with the black hatchback.
A 19-year-old Cottonvale woman was issued with a traffic infringement notice for falling to give way.
Queensland Fire and Emergency Services cleared the scene at 8.45am.
