The buzz surrounding the long-awaited reopening of Stanthorpe icon Vincenzo’s has spilt over, with eager patrons ducking in for a sneak peek ahead of its official launch.
Sitting under the unmissable Big Apple, Vincenzo’s will hold its official reopening on Thursday, three years after closing.
Co-owner Anna Schnitzerling leased the prominent space in mid-May and she and husband Shane have been busily revamping for its grand reopening.
An Italian-inspired cafe, wine bar, deli and gift shop are welcomed upgrades to the store, which boasts many varieties of local produce.
It stocks Ballandean Estate Wines, Hidden Creek, Jester Hill Wines, Granite Ridge Wines and the couple’s very own house red and white wines called Armistice Way, named after one of Stanthorpe’s well-known tourist routes.
Other local products to be found on the shelves include Stanthorpe Honey, and Made by a Farmer products, which are developed from beeswax.
Vincenzo’s will also exclusively use coffee beans roasted in Applethorpe by 17-year-old James Humble.
