Two people have been taken to hospital with minor injuries following a two-car crash near Kingaroy Shopping World.

Police, paramedics and firefighters were called to the Youngman Street and Alford street intersection just before 3pm on Wednesday, Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said.

Police closed one lane of Youngman St and directed traffic while firefighters worked to clear the intersection
