The owner of Mangan’s Electrical in Nanango has been left devastated after thieves broke in and stole $15,000 worth of tools and equipment.

Thieves have targeted Mangan’s Electrical in Nanango, stealing $15,000 worth of electrical tools, surveillance equipment and air-conditioning packs and cash overnight on April 29, 2023.

Owner Elliott Mangan said the company had only been using the newly renovated shed for one month.

“This has inconvenienced me massively,” he said.
“We have seen two pairs of footprints throughout the building.
“They have pulled new fly screens from the windows and seriously damaged the new roller door,” he said.
The 31-year-old said the thieves stole Milwaukee tool kits, air-conditioning packs, two TV reception metres and six expensive batteries.
“All the doors were found unlocked when a staff member attended the scene on Sunday morning,” Mr Mangan said.
“Given that we only literally just moved in there I haven’t taken out insurance so it’s all coming out of my own pocket.
“You wouldn’t think this would happen in such an amazing little community, we all need to do better and look out for everyone,” he said.
Mr Mangan will be offering a reward for any information about the people involved in the burglary.
Investigations are ongoing.
