Derek Duncan Pengelly and Stanthorpe woman face 118 drug supply charges

A Kingaroy man and a Stanthorpe woman are facing a staggering 118 drug supply charges each for allegedly selling to almost 100 customers across the South Burnett.

A Kingaroy man and a Stanthorpe woman are facing more than 100 drug supply charges each after police busted their almost year-long supply trade.

Police allege Derek Duncan Pengelly and the woman supplied more than 200 grams of Methylamphetamine to 96 people between March 2022 and February 2023 for more than $97,000.

Mr Pengelly, 51, has been charged with 118 counts of supply, two counts of receiving tainted property, one count of failing to give statutory declaration, one count of evasion, four counts of breaching bail conditions, one count of the offence to buy or possess S4 or S8 medicines, three counts of possessing pipes or utensils for use, one count of failing to appear in accordance with undertaking, one count of receiving or possessing property obtained from trafficking or supplying, one count of trafficking dangerous drugs, two counts of failing to take reasonable care in respect of syringe or needle, one count of possessing pipes or utensils that had been used, one count of trespassing and one count of wilful damage.

The woman, 29, has been charged with 118 counts of supply, one count of receiving property from trafficking dangerous drugs and possessing property used in the commission of drug crime.

The woman’s first appearance at Kingaroy Magistrates Court is set for June 15 and Mr Pengelly is due to return to court on July 17.
