Police reveal missing Monto man Jerome Holzheimer has died

A 41-year-old man, whose disappearance was described as ‘out of character’ by his family, has been confirmed dead by police.

Police have confirmed the tragic death of 41-year old-Jerome Holzheimer.

His family called his disappearance out of character.

Mr Holzheimer went without his phone, wallet or other personable belongings, his family said.

Police appealed to the community to help locate Mr Holzheimer, who suffered from a medical condition and who had not been seen since the early hours of Thursday morning in Flinders Street, Monto.

The community flooded Mr Holzheimer’s family’s social media pages with tributes.

“My thoughts are with you and your family,” one Facebook user said.

“My heart is so broken for you all,” said another.
