Investigations are underway after a B-triple truck burst into flames off the Leichhardt Highway, north of Miles.

Emergency crews were called to the scene of the incident at a Kowguran truck stop just before 6am on Thursday morning, a Queensland Police spokeswoman said.

A Queensland Fire and Emergency Service spokeswoman said three crews battled the fire, which spread to the second and third trailers.

She said the flames were extinguished by 8am.

It is so far unclear what the truck was transporting at the time.

The cause of the fire remains unknown, however a mechanical problem has already been ruled out.

Police are not treating the cause as suspicious.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said the driver was uninjured.
