Police are on the hunt for an unknown intruder after a man equipped with ‘sock mittens’ and a makeshift headwrap broke into a North Burnett supermarket.
CCTV footage acquired by police shows a man entering the Gayndah IGA between 10pm and 10.30pm Saturday.
He entered through the back door with a white shirt wrapped around his face and socks covering his hands and feet, and remained in the supermarket for an unknown period of time
A Queensland Police spokesman said there was no sign of forced entry and he appeared to have left the store without stealing anything.
Investigations into the matter are continuing.
